MALL EXPO FOR SCOUTS

What: Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops in the Horseshoe Trail District set up booths in an annual, week-long exposition at the Lebanon Valley Mall.  Special guests, exhibits, demonstrations, and Pinewood Derby races are present all week.  On the last night, the show culminates with an awards ceremony on the stage in front of Boscovs.  Click here for general Mall Expo information.

All Pack 460 dens help build our booth.  Click here for the construction plan.

After the Mall Expo is over, and the booths are removed, the Webelos and Boy Scouts may sleep overnight, in the mall, if they are pre-registered.  If you wish to sleep overnight, inform both your den leader and Jason Bewley before Tuesday of the expo, since Jason needs to register all scouts with the Mall Expo staff before Thursday.
Where: Lebanon Valley Mall (click here for directions)
When: Sunday February 5 through Friday February 10, 2012.

The Pack 460 dens are assigned one night to attend the booth (see below), and the scouts reserve time slots with their individual den leaders.  Collectively, the den leaders must ensure the booth is staffed from 6 to 9 pm.  All scouts are welcome every night, even outside their designated booth times.  Flexibility is expected so scouts and parents may attend other Mall Expo events as needed.

Sunday:         Booth setup only.  Only a few volunteers needed.  Contact Jason Bewley to help.
Monday:       Tigers in charge of booth from 6-9 pm
Also, the Parade of Flags is at 6:15 pm.  Webelos volunteers needed to carry flags.
Tuesday:       Wolves in charge of booth from 6-9 pm
Wednesday:  Bears in charge of booth from 6-9 pm
Thursday:      Webelos I in charge of booth from 6-9 pm
Friday:          Webelos II in charge of booth from 6-9 pm
Webelos I and II may sleepover
Why: The Mall Expo fosters all 10 Cub Scout purposes: Character Development, Spiritual Growth, Good Citizenship, Sportsmanship and Fitness, Family Understanding, Respectful Relationships, Personal Achievement, Friendly Service, Fun and Adventure, and Preparation for Boy Scouts!

Scouts participating in the Mall Expo are awarded a patch at a later pack meeting.
Pack 460 Event Coordinator: Jason Bewley
What to Bring: Scouts may bring their Pinewood Derby cars to race.  See Mall Expo information for race details.

Bring your Bey Blades to share and battle at our booth arena.  Remember to keep track of your stuff.

Refreshments are not provided.  Mall stores open as typical, with some scout discounts.
What to Wear: Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms.
